As you know, Saturday, June 28th will be the closing day of the shop. All new products in the shop are 65% off, CASH ONLY, except: Class Samples, Hand-Made Cards, and Pre-Made Scrapbook Pages. Any items that were already in our "Sale Corner" will be reduced so that they are 65% off the original price, but are NOT 65% off the reduced price. We also have many items in our "Attic Sale", which are priced as marked, but also CASH ONLY. We're still adding new items daily to the Attic Sale. We are open regular business hours this week: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 am until 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:30 am until 5:00 pm. As you all know, this will be our final week in business. Saturday, June 28th will be the last day we will be open. There is still a reasonably good selection of merchandise and a number of fixtures to choose from. Please come and help us empty our shelves. We also have a number of samples and pre-made items that are for sale. We are STILL adding daily to our selection as the stock rooms and office are not empty yet. If you haven’t been in a couple of weeks, you might be surprised by what you find! If you have a recipe kit, hold, or special order, please pick it up immediately. If you have purchased a fixture (or several fixtures), shelves, racks, or office furniture, please call and make arrangements to pick these up. We will have a very limited time after the store closes to clear the store completely and all fixtures will have to be gone. Next week we will have ads running in The Huntsville Times and a bargain newspaper, so we expect to have customers who are not familiar with us or what we do. Please be patient if it is like a beehive. Our discount will be 65% and the terms will be CASH ONLY. No debit cards (we don’t have the capability any longer) or checks… just CASH. Please be prepared. This will be a bittersweet week for us. Please help us clear our floors and come by to say “good-bye”. Thank you for the support you’ve shown thus far. |

Dear Friends, For the last 10 ½ years The Rubber Stamp Lady has provided the largest selection of merchandise, the most innovative classes, and the best customer service available in Alabama and much of the southeast. We are proud of our longevity and what we have accomplished. As you know, running a store such as this requires more 60 hour weeks than 40 and requires as much emotional energy as it does physical. Having celebrated that 10th anniversary, lost my mother, and facing retirement in the foreseeable, if not near, future, I have done some serious reevaluating of what I want to do with my life and time. For many reasons, I have decided to close the store. This has not been an easy decision for me. The ladies at The Rubber Stamp Lady and many of you, the customers, have become family to me and I will miss our daily interaction. It is a bit like letting go of your child and there is even a touch of guilt at leaving you without a comparable resource. However, I must do what is best for all and I have concluded that this is it. As we have been there for you, helping you solve your creative needs and seeing you through times of crisis and celebration, we ask that you now be there for us. There are a lot of decisions yet to be made but many options for closing the store and disposing of the inventory, fixtures, and other accumulated assets are being considered. We have continued to get new merchandise throughout the month of April and have a great selection of the current “latest and greatest”. If you want it or think you will need it in the near future, get it now as it may be sold in mass to another retailer or close-out firm. Waiting may cost you an opportunity to get a supply on hand of essential materials. As of this announcement, no additional Gift Certificates or key tags will be sold. If you are holding a store credit, Gift Certificate, or River Certificate, we suggest you use it as soon as possible. Some of our more fantastic samples and our last Silhouette will be auctioned by silent auction. This will go through the month of May. We will set an opening bid (that covers the cost of materials and some labor) and you may record your new bid all through the month. Check back often to see where you stand. I want to personally thank you for the support you have given us over the last 10 years. It is no small feat to keep the doors open for this long as a small independent business, especially given the economic climate over the last few years. We have you to thank for this.
